Adding a New User

The information on this page relates to the new upgraded interface of the IConduct platform. To view information about the Classic version of the user interface, follow this link.

Users can be added with various access options (roles), as necessary. To create a new user, go to Users via the main menu. There, press the Create user button.

Creating a System User

The new System User page contains the following fields:

Fields Description Comments

Name

The IConduct System User full name.

Insert a validname here.

Email

The IConduct SystemUser nameby an email address. 

Insert a valid email address here. Press Next.

Is Active

Activates the IConduct System User according to the access option (role).

Enable/disable the checkbox to activate/deactivate the System User.

Password

The new IConduct System User password.

 

Verify Password

Password confirmation. Serves to check that a password matches the IConduct System User password recorded in the Password field.

 

Reset API Token

Allows creating/changing the user API token. The new token appears in a message window to make a copy, if necessary.

Press Reset API token to create the new one.

Note, resetting the API token overwrites the existing one.

After the user is created, it receives the API token, which can be expirable if needed. In case the API token is expired and the user needs a new one, press the Reset API Token button. It allows creating/changing the user API token. The new token appears in a message window to make a copy, if necessary. Resetting the API token overwrites the existing one.

In addition, user permissions can be changed in the editing window:

Permission Type User capabilities Comment

System Admin

Provides permissions to manage the IConductplatform in full scope.

Enable the appropriate checkbox to determine the new IConduct system user's permissions.

Connections Admin

Provides permissions to manage the Connections in the IConduct platform.

Users Admin

Provides permissions to manage the Users in the IConduct platform.

Agents Admin

Provides permissions to manage the Cloud Agents in the IConduct platform.

Working with an Existing User

To Add a New System User:

  1. In the Name box, type in a relevant name for the new user.
  2. In the Email box, type in the new user's email address.
  3. Click Is Active to activate the user (optional).
  4. In the Password box, type in the new user's password.
  5. In the Verify Password box, type in the new user's password once again for confirmation.
  6. Enable the relevant Admin options to determine the new user's permissions.
  7. Press Create to save the user.

The new user appears in the Users menu with their set user roles. You can edit user details at any time as necessary.
